Supporting Ken and Naomi

Ken, an incredible school bus driver to our children, and the longest serving chorus member at the Canadian Opera Company, is going through a very difficult time. His wife has recently been diagnosed with Glioblastoma and he is now caring for her full-time. In order to provide Naomi with the care she requires, Ken has had to put his employment as a school bus driver, and a singer at the COC, on hold. This is a financial burden we feel Ken should not have to carry alone. Ken is so well loved, and has given so much to his various communities, and we would like to give back to him in Naomi at this difficult time.

Ken, notre formidable chauffeur de bus, traverse une période très difficile. Sa femme vient de recevoir un diagnostique médical grave et il doit maintenant s'occuper d'elle 24h/24h. Cela signifie qu'il ne peut plus conduire son bus. Il passe habituellement 7,5 heures par jour dans son bus, effectuant deux trajets le matin pour SFA/TO puis Charles Sauriol, et deux trajets le soir. Au fil des années, il s'est extrêmement bien occupé de nos enfants, a atténué notre stress en étant toujours à l'heure et en veillant à la sécurité de nos enfants, et leur a également appris à chanter puisqu'il est aussi choriste pour le COC!
