Message from Family Ortiz Castillo
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, time and contributions you have sent to my family during what have been our darkest moments. Fernando was a great son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. I hope that we can all learn from his life and make an effort to live life close to our loved ones and enjoying life doing what makes us happy. Fernando didn’t want to waste his time on things that didn’t bring a smile to his face. He showed amazing strength and positivity everyday without once wanting to give up. Let us not forget this as we continue with our lives. Thank you all again for your support. ️

Hello,
It is with a broken heart, that I am sharing about my family. My sister, Marisol Castillo Ortiz, is going through the unimaginable. Her eldest son, Fernando Izai Ortiz, has been battling cancer for the past three years. It is heartbreaking to learn that he is losing this battle. His condition has worsened, and he is now in hospice. At this time, she has stopped working to spend the rest of her son’s life with him. They have exhausted their leave due to his aggressive treatments. His father, Luis Ortiz, has cut his hours at work to do the same. This unimaginable experience, is causing them financial hardship. Some have asked how they can help, so I am sharing this in hope that others will join our family in helping them spend this precious time with him. This will help them pay for the medical coverage and some living expenses. We don’t know how much longer he has, but if we could come together to help them during this challenging time, they will be forever grateful.
Thank you!
