Kaylin Johnson Foundation
Hi! My name is Emily Johnson. On July 21, 2021 I loss my only child, Kaylin Johnson (KJ), to gun violence. KJ was involved in every sport you can think of and majority of my time was spent transporting him from practice to practice. Of course, as a team mom, you are never just responsible for your child. I would pile all of these growing boys in my car to get them from place to place. I am “mom” to every child who encounters me. This has made me realize that I have a lot more people that rely on me.
The holiday season has been difficult for me to find a reason to go on. However, since burying my son, there were still so many children asking me to come to a game or can they come over. It made me realize, I still have so many children that need me. I have to continue to be there for these children that rely on me for support in their activities.
For the holidays to honor KJ I am raising money to bless a few families in need. Kaylin would do community service during the holidays. Feeding the homeless during winter months & providing them with essential items. KJ was a loving child, he made sure everyone he encountered felt that love. I will honor him by continuing to spread that love to children in need.
Thank you!
