Hello Everyone
My Name is Racheal and pictured here is my son, Kayden!!!!
Henoch - schonlein purpura is a rare auto immune disease that causes inflammation of the blood vessels resulting in a itchy blistery rash, joint pain, swelling and intentional issues.
Kayden who is now 16 has been fighting a long battle with Henoch–Schönlein purpura (HSP). He was first diagnosed with HSP at the age of 8 and after a relapse 18 months ago he had to have a kidney biopsy at Royal Bolton Hospital. This confirmed that Kayden had developed stage 3B Kidney Disease.
With dozens of hospital visits, various medications tried with no improvement and no clinical trials available. It is inevitable that Kaydens health will deteriorate, in which he will have to begin regular dialysis treatment.
Kayden current Kidney Function is approximately 30% compared to any normal individual.
At 16 years old Kaydens mental health is not in a great place. His life is already so restricted with his diet, what activities he can do, places he can go. All at the fear of his medical health. It is very possible that at any moment Kayden could fall into a coma.
The purpose of this fundraiser is for me as his mum to be able to provide him the best life I can for him. I have 2 other children and work 6 days a week to just keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. I want to do more for my son as I don’t know how long he has until the unavoidable decline of his heath.
Kayden dreams of a family holiday abroad, something he has never done before and something his health might prevent him from ever doing.
We are also looking to redecorate and do Kaydens bedroom up so he has a happy calming environment for when he's feeling under the weather.
I humbly ask you to consider donating to help give me son the most normal life he deserves.
Thank you
Racheal
If target is exceeded we will be donating some of the money to the National Kidney Foundation
