Our dear Katrina Abbott lived a life of love, kindness, compassion, and generosity. Her strong Christian faith was a compass that guided her light, which shined brightly and illuminated each of her communities. She was a profound inspiration to many, who are forever grateful.

We are collecting funds toward a personalized plaque that will be placed on a San Francisco park bench through the Commemorative Bench Program of the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department and The San Francisco Parks Alliance.

Just as Katrina generously poured her love and dedication into all her relationships and communities, this bench dedication is an opportunity for all of those who were touched by her light, to contribute toward honoring her life. It also offers support to those who grieve her passing, with a special place where Tom, Izzy, and Eva Abbott, as well as all of Katrina’s family and many friends, can visit, sit, and rest, in active remembrance of the beauty she brought to this world.

The commemorative bench will likely be located in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Tom has a specific location in mind that holds fond memories for The Abbott Family. The cost of a commemorative bench ranges from $6,000 - $10,000. Any funds collected over the goal amount will go to The Abbott Family to utilize in a way they find best to honor Katrina's memory. It may take up to six months for the plaque installation, once the final contribution is made.
