Katie's Journey Lives On - Support Cancer Therapy Research
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
In just one week, Brody Chipman and I will be lacing up our shoes and running the Vermont City Marathon — not just for the challenge, but to get out of our comfort zones and do something hard for those who can’t.
Cancer has taken someone incredibly close to not only me and my family, but the entire community and the strength and support that my family and I have received continues to inspire me every day. This run is our way of honoring Katie's memory and turning grief into action. We are running not just for her, but for every family who has faced the pain of this disease — and for the hope that someday, others won’t have to.
Our goal is to raise 5,000 for the Foundation For Metabolic Cancer Therapies before race day, and we are asking for your help to get there. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to creating more awareness. We are asking for your help, whether that is by donation or even something as simple as sharing this link on social media.
Here's a quick note from the Foundation - Decades of research have slowly been building toward a fourth branch of oncology: metabolic oncology. While the current three branches of oncology attempt to remove or kill cancer cells, metabolic oncology targets the environment in which cancer cells are living, depriving them of the growth factors, inflammatory cytokines and energy that promotes cancer growth. In this way, metabolic oncology aims to prepare or condition the patient to respond to the traditional three branches of oncology with fewer side effects and better outcomes.

This race is personal, and knowing we have your support will help carry us through every mile. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others. Brody and I will be donating $1 per 1 mile of training we have done.
Thank you so much — let’s finish this together.
With gratitude,
