I have been lucky enough to be chosen to volunteer on a trip to Nakuru, Kenya with Everton in the Community next April. This is a fantastic opportunity for me!
As you can see, parts of Nakuru are extremely poverty stricken, and unfortunately for the children there, they suffer living in slums like these. I will be volunteering along with a group of others to try and improve the schools that they attend, even by providing them with basic things that we take for granted. 

This will be a challenging and rewarding journey.

I will need to raise around £1895 to fund my trip to Kenya. This pays for flights, insurance, food and accommodation, all in-country transport, organised project work, and in-country staff support. I plan to fund my trip with supported race & games nights, bag packs and a sponsored walk early on next year, and I am also relying on the help of my family and friends. Any donations would be greatly appreciated - even a small amount will be a massive help.
