Hello, this is Katie's sister Ayla! My little sister needs some help. I know it's difficult times for everyone, but my sister and her partner are facing some extra challenges.
Katie is 23 weeks pregnant and both her and Steve have been laid off from this pandemic. Financial support would help ease some stress off thier situation and help prepare for whats to come. The following message is from my sister regarding her situation.
Our baby is healthy but unfortunately she was diagnosed with a rare condition called Gastroschisis, which is a rare birth defect that develops inside the womb, causing a small opening in the abdominal wall which pushes the bowels out through the hole but continues to develop outside the body in the womb. Because of this the doctors in Mount Sinai tell us after she’s born we will have to stay at least 2 months at the hospital.

Katie and Steve will have to travel and stay in Toronto while the baby is in the hospital, this will be very financially trying . We are excited and thrilled she is in good hands and I can't wait to meet my neice! Any little amount will help with this difficult time for her, Steve and baby!
