Kathryn’s Adventures with Cerebral Palsy

Hello my name is Cindy and my Niece and her family need prayers and some financial assistance at this time in their lives.

As many of you know Josh and Andrea have been struggling since 2020. In March, Josh had to shut down his construction business because of COVID-19. They then faced their youngest daughter Kathryn being born at 27 weeks from pregnancy complications. Which almost resulted in taking Andrea and Kathryn’s lives. Kathryn then spent 94 days in the hospital. She then came home in October where they shut down again for a brief time to adjust to home life, and being a full family again. Also, to insure the safety of Kathryn and all the kids. Then in July of 2021 Kathryn ended up in the hospital again, 2 days after her 2nd birthday. In July of 2022 Kathryn had a full-on seizure in her Moms arm's from roseola in the spinal fluid. This landed her in the PICU and on Ped's floor for 8 days. Fast forward to this year in February of 2023 they found out that Josh's Health was not good. He is now dealing with some medical issues himself, and has not been able to work. Josh is the sole provider for the family of seven. Kathryn is the youngest of 5 she has an older brother Harley who is 15, and older sister Jaya who is 14 who was born at 36 weeks with gastroschisis, a 10-year-old brother Michael, and a 5-year-old brother named Bruce. Kathryn was born at 27 weeks with lots of complications: Cerebellar Hemorrhage Left side, Severe Hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy aka HIE grade 3 with Bilateral watershed injury, Undiagnosed Seizure disorder, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, 1st brain surgery at 29 weeks gestation they placed a Rickham Resivor, Post Hemorrhagic Hydrocephalus, Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt aka her VP Shunt, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy.

They have put off asking for help for 3 years now we have decided they need help. They need to be able to provide for all 5 kids but Kathryn is the main child who has a long list of medical appointments, equipment, needs to help her become the best little person she can be. She isn't able to walk, any donations will be used to help catch up with bills that have gotten behind. Since, Josh has not be able to work, and to get Kathryn her medical needs that insurance doesn't cover.
