Kathleen's Brave the Shave

Tax deductible
On 8th September 2022 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After the initial shock I realised there was no other way but to meet this head on. Thankfully I was called for my surgery within 4 weeks. The outcome from that surgery was very positive and although I will make a full recovery I need to undergo chemotherapy over the next 18 weeks.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love my hair, but on 9th September I was told that unfortunately due to chemotherapy I would lose my hair and that is when I decided that I wanted to take control. I decided that I would like to do a Brave the Shave for a local charity, Eitiltí & Seirbhísí Ailse Dhún na nGall (Donegal Cancer Flights and Services). I never realised the importance of this service until it came to my own door.

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Eitiltí & Seirbhísí Ailse Dhún na nGall and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.

The Brave to Shave will take place in Ionad Naomh Pádraig in Dore, on Monday 5th December, at noon. Please feel free to come and join me where refreshments will be served.
