Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m reaching out with a mother’s heart full of love and worry for my little boy Kasden. My son was diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease at birth, a rare condition that affects the large intestine and makes it nearly impossible for him to pass gas/stool. This diagnosis has meant countless doctor visits, hospital stays, procedures & surgery’s, and a lot of uncertainty for our family.
Next week, he will be undergoing another major surgery to place an ileostomy bag. Three months after the bag placement he will have his second pull-through surgery to repair the transition zone of his bowel. About six weeks after that he will have another surgery to remove the ileostomy bag if all goes according to plan.
It’s a long emotional journey, but we are holding onto hope that these procedures will give him the healthy, happy life he deserves.
Despite everything he’s going through, my son continues to show incredible strength and resilience. Watching him face these challenges has been both inspiring and heartbreaking. As his mom, I want nothing more than to give him the care, comfort, and treatment he needs.
We are asking for help to cover the overwhelming needs that come with his condition. Work time loss as each surgery will be a 1 week hospital stay in Seattle.
Childcare for my other 2 children. Food for myself and his dad while staying in the hospital. Gas for the trips back and forth to see our other kiddos. And any unexpected costs that come along the way.
Every donation no matter the size, will go directly toward easing the financial burden on our family during this difficult time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story, sharing it, and supporting us in any way you can. Your kindness means more than words can express. ❤️
