I'm looking to start a children's baseball team in South End, Saint John, New Brunswick!

With the recent surge in popularity of the Toronto Blue Jays after the 2025 World Series, the name "South End Blue Jays" has been chosen.

At this point, all we have is a name.

The video is AI generated. The Children are not real. The uniforms are not real.

At this time, there isn't a team, children or uniforms or equipment. Nothing.

I'm looking to Raise $5,000 to set-up a team. We will try to join the Saint John Little League. If it's too complicated and troublesome, then we'll just do our own thing for kids who don't have a spot at SJLL.

I don't know the exact age group, but based on my experience as a summer councilor with B&G Club, I think age 6-7 and 8-9 is best. This team will be considered "non-competitive level", meaning, having fun and meeting friends is more important than winning and being a top athlete.

If baseball is too dangerous or difficult, then we'll switch to Soccer-Baseball and maybe start a league for that instead.

100% of funds go to this project. No admin. No payroll. Ever.

Baseball has a low cost to entry. South End has over 50% child poverty. The money will be prioritized for basic equipment: Gloves, balls, bats, shoes, bases.

Uniforms will be great, but one step at a time.

Volunteers are always welcomed.

Need coaches, trainers, special guests.

Don't worry about time commitments, we're in this together.
