As many of you are aware, my sister, Karlee Mae, is autistic. My hope and prayer for her is that she is able to live a full life, completely recovered. Recently, Karlee Mae received stem cell therapy treatment in Panama. The effect this has had on her recovery has been amazing. She is calmer, more aware of her surroundings, and has improved communication. However, she still has a ways to go in order to catch up with other children her age. The doctors recommend 3 week-long sessions of stem cell infusions. I am starting a fundraising campaign, and my goal is to raise enough money to pay for her next session. I have set a goal of $20,000 as this is for the stem cell treatments (~$18,000) and for transportation/hotel costs.
Please read Karlee Mae’s story, written by her mother, and consider donating. I am very grateful, and I thank you in advance for your consideration.

Karlee Mae is a beautiful 6 year old little girl who was diagnosed with severe autism, sensory processing disorder, expressive and receptive speech delay, and feeding difficulties at the age of three.
We noticed Karlee Mae spiraling into a world of her own at around 18 months old. She started changing slowly from a happy toddler into a whirlwind of craziness and confusion. She quickly slipped away from us, stopped eating, sleeping, speaking. She lost all eye contact and interaction and developed severe separation anxiety. I took her to at least four different doctors looking for a more positive diagnosis other than severe autism. Back then she had the kind of autism no one wants to talk about. The kind where you shut down and seriously consider the possibility that there’s no coming back from that kind of hell.
With the guidance of several amazing people and groups we started our path to recovery. On the bad days I often questioned what recovery really was, if it was really even a possibility. Today I know it’s possible!
Even though we were doing intense feeding therapy, special diets, chiropractic care, 40 hours of one on one ABA a week, speech therapy, OT, and traveling to other states to see top biomedical doctors we were making progress but not the kind of progress we wanted, not the kind of progress that was going to help her catch up to her peers, not the kind of progress that was going to allow her to one day live on her own and live life to its full possibility. With those interventions she started talking more, eating better, lost a lot of her sensory issues, but she still really struggled with the meltdowns, due to her inability to communicate, understand and process information. Eye contact had improved and her social interaction was a little better but she still struggled a lot with anxiety and very rigid behaviors as well as a lot of constipation and pain. Her eating improved but was still limited especially when struggling with the constipation. We started researching stem cell therapy through a clinic in Panama. On 3/25 we flew to Panama for a week long treatment of stem cells for Karlee Mae. The process at this clinic involves donated placentas which the cells are taken after a healthy birth, multiplied in the lab and given intravenously to Karlee Mae. She received 40.2 million stem cells during that week long treatment. This wasn’t a decision made easily. We researched for over a year, continued our special diets, supplements, therapies and seeing top biomedical doctors in combination with the stem cell treatment. Within the first week we saw a calmness about her we’ve never seen, a happiness that wasn’t there before. Eye contact was even better. She started forming several word sentences, requesting in sentence form, addressing us by name, and interacting better with peers, becoming aware of her surroundings, and her ability to be in a crowd of people improved. She’s began dressing herself and brushing her own hair and teeth.
Karlee Mae’s ATEC (autism rating scale) has always been pretty high, she’s always been labeled as low functioning mainly due to her inability to communicate and process information. At the age of three she had the expressive/receptive language of an 18 month old. Currently she is unable to attend regular school so she spends her days working one on one with an ABA therapist learning how to cope and function in every day life.
Within the first 6 weeks of her first stem cell treatment we saw an 18 point drop in her ATEC score. I know that score is going to continue to drop with the combination of therapies, interventions, and the cells. Our hope is to do cells as many times as we have to in order help pull her out of this autism fog and help her reach her full potential.
As parents all we really want is to provide her with every opportunity to succeed and develop in this world. We want her to gain the ability to function on her own, communicate effectively, and live a healthy life. I truly believe regardless of what caused her regressive autism there is a way to help her progress to her true potential. The miracle of stem cells helps reduce inflammation within the body allowing the body to repair. I’ve truly never seen her progress the way I have over the last few weeks after stem cells. It’s been amazing to say the least. I feel like we can actually breath and know that eventually it’s going to be better for her. We hope to continue our stem cell journey toward healing our little girls body. We hope you will take a moment to read and share our story if for no other reason than maybe some family who feels helpless and hopeless will find a way to explore options to help their little one.
While we wait for the opportunity to do our next round of cells we will continue biomedical treatment and therapies to help support her growth and hopefully this combination will get her to where she needs to be. Hopefully she will be able to drop the need for so many hours of therapy and be able to attend a regular school with her peers and do the types of things little girls love to do! ❤️ perfectly Karlee Mae
