We are asking for your donation so we can continue to sew masks for health care and essential workers in our community. Those on the front lines need our support and with your contribution we can continue to distribute mask making kits to sewers.
Our initiative has been organizing an implementing the following to help flatten the curve:
1. Using our manufacturing resources to cut over 4,000 cloth mask kits
2. Securing fabric donations from various suppliers in our network
3. Organizing and distributing mask making kits to sewing volunteers
4. Working with the Facebook Group "NY Mask-Makers Supporting our COVID-19 Avengers" who are coordinating what essential services will receive completed masks.
Here's what your donation will accomplish:
1. Help us purchase additional fabric and supplies to continue this initiative
2. Help us cover shipping costs to distribute these masks safely to those who are in dire need
3. Help us pay our sewers who are out of work have been volunteering their time and skill. Many are out of work due to COVID-19 and we want to help them too.

Please note:
Homemade protective gear is not a substitute for Person Protective Equipment (PPE) but does offer some important protection. The official CDC policy is essentially to do whatever you can if you have nothing else. Cloth masks won’t completely stop airborne viruses but do drastically decrease the amount of transmission through the spraying of ‘droplets’ and thereby reducing virus particles on surfaces. They also minimize those carried into the mouth and nose through face touching. There are many studies showing the efficacy of these masks to partially filter the airborne virus as well.
Together we can make a difference!
Thank you!
