Karen's Service Trip to Nicaragua

On March 17, 2018 (yes, St. Patrick's Day!), I will be traveling to Nicaragua along with 10 NYIT students and 2 other staff members to participate NYIT's Alternative Spring Break.

What is NYIT's Alternative Break ?
Each year during breaks in January and March, NYIT students, faculty, and staff travel to an in-need area to lend a helping hand.  This spring break, we will be partnering with a non-profit organization, Bridges to Community , whose work helps to improve communities and lives in impoverished areas.  Bridges to Community also works to transform the lives of the volunteers themselves helping us "to be more aware of the connections we all share and the ways we can all change our lives for the better."

To help offset the cost of this week-long service trip and to assist Bridge to Community in their on-going work, I am hoping for your assistance in raising $1,500 by February 1.

Please use this page to submit your donation.  Any amount is appreciated.

Note this is a secure fundraising site and Bridges to Community is an international not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
