Celebrating Kara's Impact

Hi friends,

My name is Amber Brooks, and I serve as the District Manager for Corepower Yoga. I have had the immense pleasure of being a member of the Work Training Studio community for the last couple years. The Work team immediately opened their hearts, arms, and doors to our entire CorePower community, and made a bond that has been truly special. The space gave way for teachers to feel like students, and for a community to become a family.

Before the holidays Kara Miklaus, one of the owners and founders of Work, lost her battle with mental illness. Kara has been a driving force to supporting so many on their path in not only their fitness journey, but also in the journey to living their best lives. She was brilliant, and truly lit up the room with her joyful soul and one of a kind laugh. Kara's legacy is vast, and continues to live on through the Work community, and most importantly her two precious daughters. Both Halo, and Aura, which Kara named after light, have proven to show us Kara's love and light lives within them.

Our hopes in hosting this special class is to honor Kara, and all that she has given the fitness community, as well as a way to continue to show our support Dane, Halo and Aura. All donations will go directly to supporting Halo, Aura and Dane as they continue to navigate the future and all that comes with it.

Let us come together, sweat, laugh and kick ass just like Kara would have wanted us to.
