Kamusenene Children's Foundation

Donation protected

In the Kamusenene village, just outside of Kampala, Uganda, a group of volunteers has been caring for dozens of orphans for more than two years, relying all on volunteer support and contributions. Recently this group of volunteers has registered  their organization as a non-profit CBO (community-based organization) with the government of Uganda, and they call their family the Kamusenene Children's Foundation.

The main goal of KCF is to provide for these children's basic needs of food, housing, medicine, hygiene, clothing, as well as school fees so that they can grow up to live the lives they dream of. KCF sincerely believes in each of these children and the children know that the adults in their lives have confidence in them. This is what keeps hope alive for the orphans in Kamusenene, and with the generous help of local and international donors, the many of the children's dreams are coming true as their school fees are paid and they get to go to school.

Unfortunately the monthly budget is not always met, especially during the pandemic as all of KCF's international donors have fallen on difficult financial times. This means that some months only food and rent can be secured, and not all of the children are back in school. Most months they are fed on rice and beans alone. The monthly budget for everything comes out to between 550-600USD, and with this fundraising campaign, we hope to raise one year of operating costs.

33 children live on the small property rented by KCF, but 78 children in the village receive some form of support, most often with meals. But the children also need mosquito nets, clothes, hygiene products, periodic medical care and school fees. It has been encouraging to see our supporters step up during the pandemic, and the children pray for supporters who believe in them. Please the answer to their prayers and show them you believe in them by providing for their needs.

KCF's founder, Bujingo Hashim, came from a humble background, on of twelve children growing up in extreme poverty, and he got his education because of a missionary he met who believed in him. He decided to go home and extend the same Christian charity to orphaned children in his area. Everything you give for this campaign will go directly to supporting the children of KCF, as all operating costs are covered by the all-volunteer organization.

KCF strives for complete transparency, and it will keep its donors updated by posting monthly expenses with receipts on its website: www.kamchildren.org

On behalf of the children, thank you most sincerely, and may God bless you.
