Following my mom’s footsteps who attended the National Young Leaders Conference (NYLC) in Washington DC when she was in high school, I was given the opportunity and nominated to represent my school (International School of Beaverton, Oregon) to attend the 2024 National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) program this summer (July 2024) at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  I am so excited to travel to the East Coast, meet other high school students, learn about the Cybersecurity program and visit some amazing sights.

• Google
• Fells Point
• Capitol Hill & Smithsonian Musems
• Historic DC Monuments

I know that I am going to learn so much during this trip! Growing up as a military child, I have deep respect for those who have served (add my dad to the list) and those who currently serve our country. As I am deciding what I would like to pursue after high school, I plan to apply to the U.S. Air Force Academy for college. I believe this program will help expand my knowledge about how we can protect our government from dangerous cyberattacks.
