Kako’s Kids is a Haitian organization that aims to improve the daily lives of disadvantaged children through sport and education.
Jacques Bourjolly, aka Kako, is a famous Haitian comedian, who set up Kako’s Kids to help the children of Haiti. In Haiti, violence is a daily occurrence in the life of children. Children face violence within their homes, in schools, and in their communities. Haitian children, especially those living in poor neighborhoods, have few opportunities to escape the escalating violence and poverty in their communities.
Since its foundation in 2010, Kako’s Kids has renovated orphanages, built sports facilities, and conducted several toys, clothes, books, and back-to-school drives. Kako’s Kids also holds basketball summer camps for street children.
During the COVID emergency, Kako provided over 1,000 drums to set up hand-cleaning stations for those without access to soap or clean water.
Kako Kid’s gives children the opportunity to connect, play sport and build confidence in very challenging circumstances.
This year, we are running a summer camp for the children of Haiti. But we need your help! The objective of this camp is to instill in these children of very poor neighborhoods, great hopes, new ways of seeing life and of apprehending the future in a much better way, empower them!
By donating to us you are sponsoring a child to attend our camps free of charge. This could be life changing to the little boys and girls of Haiti. Check out Kako’s pages. Instagram: kakositoayiti and kakoskidsayiti Facebook: kako’s kids and Kako Bourjolly Twitter: kakositoayiti
