Dear Friends and Family,

I wanted to take a moment to share something close to my heart. Kaity has chosen a different path than many of her peers. Instead of attending a four-year college, she has decided to pursue her nursing degree locally at LCCC. Her reason is simple and powerful—she feels called to missions and wants to stay close to home so she can respond when God calls her to serve.

This isn’t a new passion for her. Over the years, Kaity has stepped out in faith to serve in different places—the LA Dream Center, the Dominican Republic, and even right here in Lorain County. She’s packed boxes for Second Harvest, built beds with Heavenly Angels, and filled toiletry bags with Path & Green. No matter the size of the task, she gives her whole heart because she genuinely loves people.

I can’t tell you how proud I am of her goals and ambitions. She has weathered the ups and downs of being a teenager and has come out clinging to Jesus with her whole heart. To see her live out her faith—not just talk about it, but actually do it—is inspiring.

This year, Kaity has been given an amazing opportunity. She has the chance to travel to the Dominican Republic twice with Open Door, once in January and again in March. On these trips, she will be reaching and serving a community deeply in need. I believe this is the next step in her journey to grow as both a nurse and a servant of Christ.

Kaity will be sending out letters to ask for prayer and financial support. I would be amiss if I didn’t stand alongside her and share this request with you, too. If you feel moved to help her on this journey, there are two ways you can support:

Prayer – Cover her in prayer as she prepares, travels, and serves. This is the greatest gift you can give her.

Financial Support – Donations can be made by mailing a check directly to ODCS with “Kaity Harsa DR Support” written in the memo line.

Watching my daughter live out her passion and calling is one of the greatest honors of my life. Thank you for considering supporting her in whatever way you feel led.
