Kaitlin's Hope for Oakdale

Becoming a teacher was always Kaitlin’s dream. She absolutely adored all her second graders and often stayed late after school to make sure they had what they needed. Kaitlin was a strong advocate for the students at Oakdale Elementary in Waukegan, IL. Please help make sure that Kaitlin’s students have what they need to succeed by donating to Oakdale.

Kaitlin was passionate about promoting equity in education, a goal she fulfilled every day at Oakdale Elementary. A school with many students she loved that are in need of resources, it was Kaitlin’s mission to help close the educational disparity gap.

We have started a GoFundMe in Kaitlin’s honor to support the students at Oakdale Elementary. Donating directly to a public school requires the school board’s approval, multiple documents, and an idea of how much funding is available – we don’t have any of those answers right now. Until we do, the funding will be held in trust by the Schaumberger family to be donated in Kaitlin’s honor. The funds collected will be used to get materials and resources for the students at Oakdale.

At minimum, we would like to raise $100 for each year that Kaitlin made a positive impact in this world. Please help us remember her by sharing and donating in her honor.
