Kai's Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Kai Luera was called home on June 29th and is now in the arms of Jesus. We know Kai was destined to do many great things here on earth, but God has bigger tasks for him in heaven. One of Kai's many wonderful qualities were that he loved gifting to others. There were many times Kai would be admitted at MD Anderson for weeks at a time receiving intense Chemo or Immunotherapy and he still found ways to give. Kai would insist we make dozens of gift bags filled with candy for every nurse, doctor or cleaning lady that walked through his door. Our sweet boy was born on 8-18-18 and his 7th birthday is next month so we feel it would only be fitting to do something that we know Kai would already do himself. Kai fought with unmatched strength and courage. In honor of his birthday, we are walking 18 miles and raising $1,800 for 8 families ($14,400.00 total) currently facing their own battles with childhood cancer.
