Kailand’s unexpected extra surgery expenses
Donation protected
Kailand (1) was diagnosed with Sagittal craniosynostosis where the sagittal suture is closed with scaphocephaly. In shorter meanings, he was born with little to no soft spots on his scull causing immense cranial pressure which could lead to lose of sight, hearing, speech, and developmental functions. This was found in early January of this year and he was immediately referred to Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital where they performed open cranial surgery in March. After recovering, Kai’s parents, Alyssa Beltrami (19) and Kaeden Rock (19), were informed another surgery would have to be done due to a persistence of papilledema is Kai’s left eye. His next surgery is taking place in October, where Alyssa and Kaeden will be out of work for 2-3weeks if recovery goes well. This will result in them not having any income to pay necessary bills and hospital expenses.
In an effort of saving up, this Saturday 9/17, their rent money they had pulled out of the bank for the month they will be gone, was stolen out of their vehicle. It’s hard to believe anybody could take money out a car with a carseat inside of it, but I guess people suck that bad. The donated money will be used solely to help take some financial ease off an already very stressful situation. Alyssa and Kaeden are some of the hardest working, and best parents I know. From my perspective it seems like lately they just can’t catch a break, so any help is VERY appreciated
