Kaeto’s Journal: Turning Pain into Purpose

My name is Kaeto, and I am a survivor. For years, I moved through the shadows of homelessness, the weight of grief after losing my father, and the silent battle of mental illness. I navigated a world where I felt used by those I trusted, eventually turning to self-harm and substances just to numb the overwhelming noise of reality. On New Year’s Day 2026, I stood on the edge of a bridge over a railroad, ready to let go. In that moment of total darkness, a message from my partner, Max, reached me. It was the reminder I needed: I am not alone. I realized that if I could find a reason to stay, I could help others find their reason, too.

The Mission: Kaeto’s Journal
I founded Kaeto’s Journal to document a day-by-day journey alongside the homeless and the mentally ill. This isn’t just a blog or a social media page—it’s a lifeline. My goal is to break the stigma that kept me silent for so long and to provide a platform for the voices that society often chooses to ignore. Through storytelling, literature, and community outreach, I am documenting the realities of life on the streets while working toward my own healing. I refuse to let my story end the way so many of my friends' stories have.

How Your Support Makes a Difference
This journey requires resources to be effective. While following my journey is the greatest gift, your donations allow me to provide direct, boots-on-the-ground relief. Your contributions will go toward:
- Survival Supplies: Tents, sleeping bags, weather-appropriate clothing, and food for the homeless individuals I meet.
- Community Support: Direct donations to local food pantries and grassroots charities.
- Outreach & Advocacy: Building a podcast and website to amplify these stories and reach a national audience.
- Sustainability: Covering basic needs and travel expenses so I can continue to reach new communities and meet more people that I can help.

Join the Journey
Every scar I carry is a reminder of where I’ve been, but Kaeto’s Journal is about where we are going. Whether you choose to donate, share this link, or follow my socials, you are helping me prove that every voice deserves to be heard in times of pain. Thank you for believing in me, and for believing that no one is ever truly beyond hope.
