The Chittenden County Sheriff's Department K-9 unit is requesting help from the community! K9 Wes is currently at the Police Academy with Handler Deputy First Class Chiaravalle. They are working towards completing several successful tracks as well as orienting K9 Wes to different obstacles and environments. At the end of week 1, they have covered evidence recovery, half mile tracks with 20 minute old scents, and baited tracks. So far K9 Wes is proving his agility and confidence with these tasks. K9 Handler Chiaravalle hopes to continue on this path.
