Black Lives Matter Activist

I am Dwreck, one of the many co-founders of Warriors In the Garden, a collective of activist. The last three weeks have been a complete whirlwind for me and my fellow protestors committed to ending police brutality, tearing down oppressive systems and addressing fundamental change. During this time I have received an increasing amount of death threats and had my apartment burglarized. I have temporarily relocated and taken other precautions to protect myself and loved ones. I was also confronted by my employer, a property development firm who requested I end my speeches about infrastructure and gentrification because it was bringing undue attention to their harmful business practices and conflicting business interest.. because of my refusal to be silent I was let go. I know I made the right choice morally, and I will be on the right side of history. I now will be fully devoting my time and energy to activism. Financially, In the interim I will need help with rent, groceries and bills. Black lives matter is my life.
