late September I moved back in with my mom as she was going through a divorce from her husband/father of my two youngest siblings who is in an addictive battle against alcoholism. I moved back in order to give emotional support, financial support, help with childcare, etc, as he is not fit to care for his children. They were together for close to 20 years, and through that he was extremely physically and mentally abusive towards everybody in the household. He moved out finally mid August but has completely cut ties with everybody, and through that no longer provides any sort of care for his two children. It has been me and my mom taking care of them since.

my mother just got let go from her job, which is putting us at risk of losing our home that we fought tirelessly for, as well as jeopardizing other things we need. I work 7 days a week, basically 24 hours a day between a coffee shop job, managing and running my own social medias as well as other people’s which I monetize from, do artwork, side gigs at concerts/wrestling shows, etc. As much as I wish I could afford to take care of us four on my own, I simply can not.

I have watched my mom struggle so hard to keep all of us afloat, and as much as I absolutely hate asking for help, I can not in good faith not at least try. My youngest siblings especially are my entire world. Anyone who has ever spoken to me personally knows I view them as if they’re my own children. I’ve spent a good 14 years helping raise them, and doing what I can to make sure they’re taken care of.
