Hello!
If you don’t already know, I’m a struggling artist supporting a five year old and I’m trying to move ASAP. There’s a lot more that goes into it but mainly, I want to set my son up for the school year and to get myself into an environment where I can thrive. Housing is scarce and the only house that would approve us in time doubled the deposit. We would eventually have these funds but currently don’t. And school starts in less than 3 weeks.
Last year I shook my preschooler’s world when we were without a home for months (due to natural disaster), then had to relocate hours away from our family- switching schools in the middle of the year. It was heartbreaking for him to not go back to his first school with his teacher, I don’t want to do that again when our lease ends in November.
The support of having family around is something I took for granted, and this last year has been incredibly isolating, hard, depressing.
I need my family’s help, and I need help to get to my family.
