Hello! My name is Heather Jupina. I met the Jupina family in 1991 when I began dating my husband, Matt. Soon after we began dating, Matt's sister, Michele, began dating Chet Pugh. Chet and I had the same type of humor and we had a great time together. The four of us had many great times in the 90s! Chet and Michele developed a fun and loving relationship. Soon, they welcomed their son, Nicholas, into the world and got married. They continued to support each other, depend on each other, and love each other. Several years later they welcomed a second child, Hayley. Their family was growing and so was the Jupina family. All the cousins came pretty close together and we all spent so much time together while we were raising our kids. We really had a great time together! While Chet and Michele were raising their children, Chet was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. In the years to follow Chet's condition kept getting worse and worse. He was often nauseous, tired, dizzy, and in pain. Michele, and his children, were always by his side and taking care of him. Chet got so sick, he was told he could no longer work and was placed on disability. This was a very difficult time for the Pugh family. Eventually, Chet was put on a transplant list for both a pancreas and kidney. This process was also very difficult for the family. While Chet was waiting for his transplant, his daughter Hayley and her partner Brendan, brought a beautiful daughter, Hadley, into the world. Chet and Michele became grandparents and were filled with joy! This joy was dampened when Chet passed away on November 2, 2023. As you can imagine, the family is devastated! Due to Chet's inability to work and the doctor's bills adding up, this family could really use some help! Please join me in helping Michele pick up the pieces and support her during this time. She has given so much to her family and really to ALL of us!
