Hello, my name is Julia. I am 24 years old and I’m a mother of two beautiful children. I work full time and start school again next year.

I am starting this fundraiser to help me raise money so that I may stay home for a couple more months with my newborn baby who was born on August 17th this year.

As many of you know, most companies only give you 6 weeks of paid recovery and bonding time with your newborn. That is less than two months. Also, when you’re on short term disability you only make between 60%-70% of your total income.

Now that I am a mother of two, I have started to face new struggles I have not before. My newborn requires 100% of my attention but so does my daughter who will be two years old in January.

Its hard to explain into words but not only am I navigating the trials of motherhood of two under two, but I’m also doing my best to stay mentally and physically healthy to look after my babies.

It was hard enough to leave my first born after so little time but now having to try to do it a second time and leave my newborn and 1 year old again is devastating for me.

All I’m asking for is a little more time. Time to adjust. Time to watch my babies grow. Time to heal and learn.

We live in an age where most like myself cannot afford to be a single income family. Not working isn’t an option for me unfortunately like the women and mothers years ago.

With the $3000 dollars im hoping to raise, you can help me stay home for at least three more months with my babies before having to go back to work again and school.
