As some may know, Daniel’s health battle started on May 17th, 2025 when he was admitted into the ICU due to a severe case of pancreatitis, high blood sugar at 800, and low oxygen. Within an hour of being in the ICU Daniel’s oxygen levels dropped significantly and medical staff had no choice but to intubate him. Well intubated Daniel’s organs started to fail, he had to have dialysis to keep his kidneys functioning, his lungs, heart, they were not doing well. Fast forward 2 1/2 weeks later, medical staff decided the best course of action was to remove the intubation and perform a tracheostomy. At this time Daniel also had a tube out of his nose to drain the toxins out, he couldn’t walk, barely talk, moving was difficult for him. 2 months later, medical staff felt Daniel was ready for his next step in recovery which was to move to a rehabilitation center, unfortunately when we thought it was getting better not even a week after being discharged from the rehabilitation center was it when Daniel had to be re-admitted into the hospital. Since then he has been in and out, having nurses, CNA’s, PCP’s coming in and out of his apartment, not to mention his mother Toni going back and fourth all day every day. The most recent hospital admission it was found that Daniel has a severe infection on the inside near the pancreas, which was causing cysts. To help heal this multiple drain tubes were placed to heal and drain out the cysts, we got the horrible news that Daniel was leaking out one of the tubes and it was founded that he had a bleed in a artery near his spleen, he was rushed to emergency surgery. Today Daniel remains hospitalized, we go back and fourth every day to see him, praying for his recovery, keeping up with his apartment, his bills, food for him, we created this Go Fund Me in hopes we can get help to maintain Daniel’s life outside of the hospital.
