Dear friends & family,
Hello! Kate and I are writing to fill you in on a very cool opportunity coming up this spring. We appreciate your taking the time to read this letter.
WHAT / WHY:
Our church, K2, has an ongoing relationship with a beautiful group of vulnerable children and adults in the area of Ekudzeni, Eswatini (Formerly Swaziland).
Believing that near and far, materially rich or poor, we are all mutually broken people banking on the promise of being redeemed and restored through Jesus Christ, our goals in partnering with the people of Ekudzeni are to:
- Build relationships
- Work together to find sustainable solutions to the enormous poverty consuming Eswatini
- Address the physical, educational, social, and spiritual needs of the many orphans and their caretakers
- Through both word and deed, help bring the hope of God’s restoration of all things to this amazing African country.
WHEN / WHERE (March 29 - April 10)
Kate and I will join a dedicated team from our church to travel to Ekudzeni, Eswatini.
HOW TO HELP
We would love to ask you to partner with us as we head to Eswatini to serve the amazing people there.
Obviously there is a financial cost to this trip, and any support in that arena would be amazing and so appreciated. If you would pray for us, our team, and the people of Eswatini, that would be the best. God is doing all the work; we are just showing up!
We know there are many demands on your finances, especially this time of year, so if you’re not able to give right now, it’s okay--really! We are truly thankful for the chance to share with you about this little piece of Africa, and look forward to letting you know how it goes.
