I have been chosen to join a group of volunteer rescue medics for a new project in Nepal- the Kerasawara Rescue Team. As a part of my trip I will be involved in educating and training local people in emergency response, life-saving first aid and extrication and retrieval of casualties. This is going to make a huge difference to this remote Nepalese community's ability manage their own medical emergencies and provide healthcare to one another. this is just the beginning of the long term goal of this project, one which I hope to continue to be involved in for many years.
