Hi, my name is Stacy Gancos and I am a 7th grade ELA teacher at Lakeside Jr High. In my free time I work with the youth in Ashtabula outside of the normal school day. My goal is to keep them busy, working, in sports and out of trouble. I am in the process of opening a recreation center and although I have been very blessed to find a place and have many donations and a lot of support, there are a few things that are needed in order for us to open. I want this to be a safe place for kids to hang out, get help with homework, have a snack, be around positive adult role models, and have fun!

We are in need of epoxy for the floor, we have about 9,000 sq. ft. An ID making machine so we know who is in the building and when they leave for the day. WIFI for the Chromebooks. A security system with cameras on the inside and outside of the building. There are also some odds and ends, such as; big trash cans, microwaves, ice machine (for our smoothie bar), LED lights, charging station for phones and speakers for music.

Being able to have this rec center for the youth in the community would be a dream come true. We have worked all summer to get the area cleaned out and ready for the kids! Please help me add the finishing touches so we can plan our GRAND OPENING!
