We have made it!!!

Ginger's first day of school is tomorrow!! She has passed all certifications and is a fully licensed service dog with the national registry.

As many of you know, the past 4 years have been challenging, emotional, and unpredictable as I have pulled my supportive family and friends along in my mental health journey. A journey that many of you reading this have helped me in. A journey that I hope can one day, help someone in their own journey and a journey of raising some awareness of the mental health stigma in this country. #StopTheStigma

For me, this journey continues to include therapies, medication changes, hospitalizations, treatments, facilities, and multiple diagnoses. This journey is not easy, it is very hard.

My journey is not over. I realize my struggles will never "fully be over", but I am working hard.

I want more than anything to continue teaching and being involved in the lives of my children. This has proven to be very difficult, and unfortunately, I regularly get consumed by the effects and symptoms of my diagnoses.

The services that Ginger will provide to me, on a daily basis, would help me to access my environment with support. Providing warning signs, support, redirection, distraction, and other needed services is exactly what I need and Ginger will provide.

We appreciate any financial support as the fees, 10 months of training, boarding, and certification were far more expensive than expected, leaving us $5,000 of accrued debt.
