I did the ice bucket challenge, I’m sure a lot of you reading this did too. I knew it was to raise awareness for ALS, it was a fun challenge at the time and admittedly I didn’t know much about the disease. Fast forward 9 years, after months of tests and red herrings my mum was diagnosed with bulbar on set ALS in March 2023. Since then we’ve researched and sobbed. This devastating disease has amongst other things robbed her of her voice. There is no cure to this degenerative, cruel disease and we have to change that. With the time and the strength that my mum has left, together we are running 25 miles in December for MND.
