JW Batteries Being Sued By Future Motion makers of

Future Motion is suing battery manufacturers now. We are going to donate 100% of the proceeds to JW Batteries Legal defense which they will need. They have already have to my knowledge paid a large retainer between $50-$100k just to get started defending themselves, to delay Future Motions attempt to close their business, and to keep making the products we love. 

It is illegal for JW to start a GoFundMe on their own for this but it is not illegal for our voices to be heard!! And we want FM to know we will not take being bullied off the boards we love. 

If they get one of us they get all of us. Chi battery will be next. We need to stop this. 

Even if you do not own a JW or Chi battery this lawsuit has implications on the future of the sport and activity we love so much. 

From $1 to $100 it all counts and will go in defense of the entire community...

Jim and Wes have sacrificed any future growth to fighting this injustice. FM is going so far as to try to close their business and legally disallow them from making another battery for any device ever again. This is excessive imo.

We want to make you all aware that we, JW Batteries LLC, are being sued by Future Motion for providing the community with products to enhance their Onewheel experience.

Why is FM going after us? We can only assume it’s because we’re the little guy and they thought we would be an easy target. We are not going to be bullied into submission. We have obtained legal counsel and intend to fight for all of us and our right to decide what to do with the Onewheels we own.

This is not going to be easy on us and the fight is very expensive, but we refuse to give in. We are disappointed that FM has once again decided to go after anyone that tries to offer the community options for enhancing their Onewheel experience.

We greatly appreciate your love and support as we fight for all our rights to modify products we legally own.
