Justus and Ruth Mexico Mission Trip

Hi, Everyone!
Last year, my sister Sarah and I were blessed with a rare and unique opportunity to preach God’s word to those in need, while building a permanent house for them to live in. Looking back on that trip, it was full of prayer and worship at morning and night, labor and sweat during the day, and fellowship with those in need throughout. It was by far the most impactful thing that has ever happened to me, and more importantly, it will impact others for generations to come. That trip was some of the best times that we have ever had, and we will never forget it.
Ruth and I now have an opportunity to go on another mission trip to Mexico with our school (Trinity Classical Academy). This coming March, we will spend five days in Ensenada, Mexico building another home for a family in need. The area we will be serving in is very poor. The homes are often built out of scraps and discarded garage doors on barren hills. There’s no running water, no heat, and no electricity. Children play in dirt streets, wearing the same clothes day after day. Common colds and flus easily become life-threatening conditions. The poverty is so great that families often cannot afford basic necessities.
The organization we are going with is called Yugo, and they have been helping people in Mexico since the late 1950s. They bring church and school groups from all over the US and Canada to help build homes for qualified families in some of the poorest communities in Mexico, and importantly, they plant churches and evangelize to the hurting people to give them hope and a future in Jesus Christ.
If this is something that you would like to help us with, our group will be going March 27-31, 2023. The supplies will be waiting for us, and when we are finished, we will have dramatically improved the conditions of a family in truly dire circumstances.
