My name is Justin Gallegos.  I am from Santa Clarita, California.  I am a sophmore at the University of Oregon. I have cerebral palsy, but despite my disability, I have a passion for running.  For the last six years, I have been involved in cross country and track and field. Now I compete on the club cross country and track team at the U of O.

Last year, a group of people from Oregon, and some Nike employees, gathered together to help fundraise for my first year at the U of O.   With a few fundraisers that Nike Running held and the generious donations of many individuals on this site, we were able to raise roughly 75% of what was needed to cover the first year.  

Freshmen year was amazing. I was the cover story on the Daily Emerald (UO newspaper). I was also featured in the magazine Runner's World. Later on in the year, I had the great opportunity to work with the Journalism department on my second documentary. It highlights my learning to run with a disabilty, and how it led me to the University of Oregon.

I have also worked closely with Nike as a product tester for the shoes that incorperate Flyease technology, an easy on-off closure system for people of all ages and abilites that makes putting on a shoe easier for everyone!

As we are getting ready for my junior year, my friends in Oregon are rallying again to help me raise the necessary funds to attend the University of Oregon.  At their request, we are updating this Go Fund Me page.
