Help My Brother Fight Cancer
My brother,Justin who many of you know as “Judd”- The owner of Railroad Produce in Ringgold, Georgia, was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with lymphoma and tongue cancer. For years, he and his late father, Ronnie Guffey, have been a staple in the community, always helping others, and now he finds himself in need of help. He will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy for 7 straight weeks, 5 days a week, Friday 10/24 he will be having a feeding tube placed and a port inserted for his radiation AND chemotherapy treatment. He has lost 40 pounds, is very weak, and severely malnourished due to not being able to eat from the size/location/pain & swelling caused from the tumor. Also, His treatment is extremely strenuous and time-consuming, making it impossible for him to work or lift anything at this time. His mother, Donna Guffey Smith, has had to take Family Medical Leave (FMLA) to care for him full-time — driving him to appointments, managing medications, handling daily living needs, and providing transportation to a hospital an hour away for scans, biopsies, and treatments that accept his insurance. Unfortunately, insurance is not covering all of his treatments, and bills for radiation, chemotherapy, and ongoing care are quickly adding up. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution will go directly toward his medical expenses and daily living costs, allowing him to focus entirely on healing. He has spent his life helping others — now he is asking for your help. Thank you for your love, your support, and your kindness. Let’s help him focus on fighting cancer — not worrying about the bills.
