My name is Lana Hunstad, and I started this GoFundMe on behalf of my big brother, Justin Hunstad. It is with a mixture of hope and concern that I share the news that my brother, who recently had successful brain surgery to remove his last Tumor in May 2022, has a new tumor that is a reoccurance of this brain cancer. My big brother now faces another challenging journey ahead.

He has been fighting a rare form of glial brain cancer. An Oligodendroglioma Tumor arises from the cells responsible for producing the myelin sheath, which protects nerve fibers in the brain. The impact of this condition on a person's life can be profound, causing various neurological symptoms, such as seizures, cognitive difficulties, and motor impairment. My brother's indomitable spirit and unwavering determination, has faced these challenges head-on, inspiring all who know him.

Despite the setbacks, he remains an inspiration to all of us with his unwavering strength, optimism, and determination to overcome this ordeal. However, the recent recurrence of his brain cancer will force him to take time off work once again to undergo treatment and focus on his recovery.

During this trying period, he and his family are not only dealing with the emotional and physical strain of his illness but also the financial burden that comes with bills and necessary accommodations. To support my brother and his family, we are organizing a charity fundraising event, and have started this GoFundMe. This is where your generosity and support could make an immense difference in providing my brother and his family with the necessary support during this difficult journey.
