It's been 16 years since Deena went missing and her remains were found in Quesnel approximately two months later. To date, all investigations have not lead to the arrest of her murderer. Our goal:
We are starting this campaign with the goal of raising enough money to hire a private (non-RCMP) investigator to look into the case once again. There are many questions that still have not been answered. We also believe there are leads in the case that need to be investigated more closely. We are looking to provide closure and some answers for her family. Who are we?
My name is Rose Bright. I am working closely on this with my friend and Deena's brother, Kelly Braem, and another good friend of ours, Robbie McGregor. I am looking after the go fund me campaign on behalf of Deena's brother Kelly. I have more time to answer questions and the tech savvy to stay on top of this while the guys are away working. Feel free to contact any of us on Facebook if you need more information.
This won't be cheap. We know if we are to get any kind of new information, we need the financial and emotional support of our community of Quesnel, as well as anyone else that is able to donate. The money we are looking to raise will be used towards hiring a private investigator. When the time comes, the decision to hire a private investigator will be done by Kelly (Deena's brother) and he will be the one to withdraw and use the funds.
