My name is Whitney and I am the proud mother of two beautiful boys, who are 6 years old and 3 years old. These boys are the purpose of my life and the drive to keep moving forward. They are my everything and they have been ripped away from me. I need help getting an attorney that is a shark, one that will fight hard for me and my children against an abusive narcissist.
I left their father after finding out he had been cheating on me for some time, to find safety and comfort (for both me and my children) and to get away from his abusive, manipulative, and narcissistic behavior. Their father is a Transport Deputy for the County Sheriff’s Department and has received preferential treatment during the custody proceedings thus far—the courts siding with status over truth.
I have exhausted every resource available to me for legal proceedings. I work full-time as a veterinary assistant and my current partner works full-time in sales, and we both have dedicated our lives to support the best life for the boys. We have drained our savings, utilized work-related and local/county resources trying to fight for the boys.
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, their father insists on not following court orders and continues to slander my partner and me while trying to alienate me from my boys.
We are reaching out for assistance in funding a new legal team to continue to fight for what is best for my children.
I genuinely appreciate anything anyone can do to help in this disheartening situation.
Here are just some examples of their father’s behaviors listed below:
- He had taken the boys for his weekend and refused to return them to me.
- He has refused to let the boys see me or talk to me on my birthday regardless of the court order and the parenting time guidelines that we are ordered to follow.
- He has limited phone calls I have with the boys, only allowing me to call them 3 days out of the week and does not allow me to talk to them longer than 15 minutes. Some weeks he won’t answer my phone calls at all.
- He does not allow me to pick up my 6-year-old from school and take him to doctor appointments even though we have joint legal custody and in the court order it states I am allowed to do so.
- He has made false allegations against me and my partner (which were all investigated and found to be false) just to keep the boys from me.
- He had his girlfriend go onto a local Facebook group asking for dirt on my current partner to see if they could use anything against him in court.
- And the boys have told me, repeatedly, that their dad tells them that they aren’t allowed to love me or my partner. So any phone calls I am allowed to have with them now, their father is next to them monitoring every word they say.
My heart is broken for my babies. They don’t deserve this — to be torn away from their mom. Every single day without them feels unbearable, like a part of me is missing. The pain is constant, and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. This has stopped being just about a fundraiser — it’s my desperate attempt to be heard, to reach anyone who’s ever felt this broken, this alone. Please… help me share my story. Because as much as this hurts, I know I’m not the only one living this nightmare. No one should feel this alone.
