Hello, we are reaching out for assistance as our family navigates this incredibly challenging time.

We firmly believe that the hospital failed my daughter, Tierra. She just welcomed her third baby last week and repeatedly complained of chest pain. Despite her concerns, the nursing staff and doctors discharged her from L & D. Just two days later, while taking a shower, she experienced severe chest pain leading to a small heart attack. Tierra was under Methodist’s care from Saturday until Wednesday, and we hold them accountable for her death.

During her stay, she was administered a range of medications, including morphine, without a proper diagnosis alongside multiple EKGs and was told that she could “possibly” have a blood clot or spasms in her heart. We requested a transfer to a different hospital but were informed that doing so would delay her care. Trusting that Methodist would provide the immediate attention she needed, we remained there. However, their responses to our inquiries were insufficient, especially regarding the ongoing administration of pain medication while she was still experiencing heart pain. It's crucial to note that Tierra had preeclampsia, clearly documented in her chart due to her recent childbirth. They also misdiagnosed her with pneumonia, which contributed to unnecessary treatments that were ultimately ineffective.

We are convinced that Tierra’s case was handled with negligence, and we fear that she may have been overdosed.

Tierra leaves behind three young children—ages 7, 3, and just 1 week old—who will forever feel her absence. She is mourned deeply by her four sisters and her mother. We are seeking donations to honor her memory and pursue justice for the kind-hearted and sweet person she was. We will not rest until we achieve the justice she deserves! All donations will be used for her funeral arrangements and her children.
