Justice for Teal Run GMA Homeowners

I’m Towana Bryant, a write-in candidate for the Teal Run GMA board (HOA).

I humbly & gratefully thank you for supporting this legal fund. The Teal Run residents respect each donors' hard-earned money and each dollar will be used efficiently and transparently, to help the residents of Teal Run successfully prevail in court, & protect their investment in their home.

Many of you know that I, and other co-plaintiff's, have already spent thousands of dollars out of pocket fighting in legal fees, attempting to force the current board to release bank records and contracts that homeowners have a legal right to see.

The court has already ordered a full release of records from the HOA Board of TRGMA. They won't comply. What are they defying a court order to hide?

The Texas property code is clear, and in the residents' favor, but we need support from the community at large, in order to carry the expense of legally enforcing what it states. Meanwhile, our current board is using the homeowners' dues payments as a means to fund their defense—against its own association members' claims and complaints!

This is one area of the property code that needs revision. We are working on lobbying for that as well. All claims being made have clear evidence to support them and there will be no issue proving this case in court.

In the meantime, since legal fees are so expensive, every donation, of any size, adds up to make a big impact. We (the homeowners) are represented by Nixon and Associates (Attorneys Tom Nixon and Don Philips) in this necessary legal battle against the Current Board of TRGMA, represented by Porter Law Firm (Attorney Chris Archambault).
