On January 11th my son was on his way to Thunder Valley Casino in Placer County, CA and was pulled over by the local sheriffs on a minor traffic violation. It ended in him being shot three times in both arms and chest while he had his hands in the air. He's currently being held in a Placer County jail under a ridiculous one million dollar bond. Albert is just 29 years old. He’s my first born child, a father of three (two boys and a girl). He did nothing wrong outside of not knowing his back blinker light was out when he used his turn signal. He doesn’t deserve this.
The stories the media and news articles are spinning are far from the truth. It is both horrific and heart breaking for our family. They didn't even get his nationality correct. Albert is an African American male. Yet sadly just another young man unjustly targeted by police. Please, we ask for your help to combat the exorbitant amount of bail and to assist with expensive attorney retainers. Most attorney’s I’ve talked with want $5,000/$10,000 to just retain their services to get started. We can't afford to get my son out of jail and we are growing more concerned he's not receiving proper medical care.
Please, anything you can do will help and be greatly appreciated. We need to really start bringing more awareness to police brutality because they keep shooting these unarmed black men and women. Thankfully my son survived but his story needs to be heard and told!! I'm his mother and I will do everything in my power to fight to defend my son’s innocence and get rightful justice. #JusticeForAlbert
