Justice for Miashah Moses: Legal Fund

Miashah Moses Was Killed. Her Killer Is Free. We are seeking help to retain legal representation.

On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, Miashah Moses a 34-year-old queer Black woman was stabbed and killed in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The man who stabbed her, 65-year-old Leon Blair Perkins III, is free and has not been arrested.

It began with an intense road incident but ultimately ended.
Miashah wasn’t chasing him. She wasn’t looking for him. She was headed to visit family , her destination just happened to be in the same neighborhood.

Leon admitted he thought she was following him.
He also admitted to being “afraid to go home.”
But instead of calling 911, he circled back, saw her already parked, and chose to confront her.
He had a knife already concealed in his back pocket, confirmed by investigators.
He took the law into his own hands.

He says he stopped “just to see what he did wrong” but what followed was a stabbing so brutal, so precisely placed, that it ultimately killed her.
That kind of force is not accidental. It takes strength. It takes intent.

She Tried to Save Herself

After being stabbed, she walked across the street to a relative’s home bleeding, terrified, and fighting for her life.
She was that close to her destination.

Leon only called the police after he stabbed her and that call is now being framed by media and investigators as honorable. “He called the police himself”
But he had every chance to call before. And he didn’t.
Because he wasn’t trying to de-escalate he was trying to assert control.

Police & Media Are Protecting Him

There’s no reports on Miashah’s condition when police arrived and why there’s no statement from her.
There has been no arrest.
The media refers to him as “the stabbing subject” while they plaster Miashah’s full name and bring up a 10-year-old conviction completely unrelated to this case.
Every account paints her as aggressive and reactive without ever asking how or why things escalated.

There is no video. No witnesses.
Only Leon’s version of events.
And he’s leaving things out because he knows he has the media and police on his side.

We have audio of the lead detective defending him.
And we were told directly:
“There’s no way the DA is going to prosecute this guy.”

A Clear Double Standard

If the roles were reversed if Leon had been stabbed and Miashah survived,
she would be in jail right now.
No media grace. No police protection.
No benefit of the doubt.

Instead, we’re being gaslit watching a man admit to initiating a confrontation that ended in a woman’s death and walk away with no accountability.

Why We’re Raising Funds

We were hesitant to start this fundraiser.
We didn’t want anyone thinking we were using this tragedy for money.
We’re still open to working with an experienced pro bono attorney.

But if that support doesn’t come, we need help securing legal defense and keeping this fight alive.

Your Support Will Help Us:
• Hire an attorney to independently review and pursue this case
• Hold Tulsa Police accountable

• Fight to reclaim Miashah’s narrative — and her dignity

Why It Matters

Oklahoma law is clear:
You cannot claim self-defense if you initiate the confrontation.

Leon approached her.
He brought a weapon.
He took the law into his own hands.

And now the woman he confronted is dead — while he walks free.

How You Can Help:
• Donate what you can or extend resources (legal, media, therapy)
• Call the Tulsa District Attorney and demand justice
• Say her name: Miashah Moses

We’re heartbroken.
We’re furious.
But we are not giving up.

Because silence protects killers.
And Miashah deserved to live!
