If your loved one died at the hands and gas pedal of a stranger driving a 6,500 lb. Vehicle, Would you want to know who did it today or suffer through many unknown tomorrows?

This account is being set up to offer a reward fund for information leading to arrest and conviction for the Oct. 3 -2023 Hit and Run incident that led to the death of Lee Waters in Brevard NC .

Investigators from the Brevard Law Enforcement took an oath. They have the responsibility to ensure the safety & quality of life of the communities they serve.

Only light can drive out darkness.

We stand beside them as they search. Someone ran, Someone's hiding

Dear Driver,

His name was Lee.

He had a dog he named Cornbread.

He was a human being

He suffered.

October 3-2023 at 9:34 pm

You aligned with him.

Left him,

alone, battered, bleeding, broken, wounded

cold, lying in the road.

Desperate for medical care.

Yet a complete stranger appeared shortly after you ran him down in your headlights.

THEY saved his life temporarily . You could have accidentally messed up, froze in that first moment . We could have forgiven you. You could have been the hero inside of your own

tragedy.

You still had choices.

You made your own decisions.

YOU participated.

YOU decided Not to STOP.

YOU decided NOT to call 911.

The last thing Lee saw on this earth was a drivers headlights, then your 6,500 lb.

Silver tone, Dodge Durango now with passenger - side, front -end damage from the impact where his alive body collided, tossed. Let’s call it like you saw it.

What you did was Horrible!

YOU did this, your choices, your decisions. YOU are forever a part of his story.

YOU changed his life and his families forever.

Dear Driver- You give new meaning to the term Stranger Danger!

People believe in you, that you’ll be caught, that with every donated dollar they are speaking their voice, their vote, to be able to assist in bringing out information that could find you sooner.

Cause they’ll never get to meet or see Lee with his dog Cornbread.

Dear Driver- As you read this & sense our anger, just know you wouldn’t want to trade places

with us. We haven’t hardly eaten or slept in 9 days. Have you?

Dear Driver-

Now you know that you were a fatality to him.

Turn yourself in.

It was always,

Fatal that you stop,

Fatal that you call 911.

A stranger did Your job for him. not you.

And as Lee was an organ donor,

ALL was not lost in spite of you.

Just STOP shouldn’t be hard to do.

We grieved for 6 days in the ICU

Where were you?

His name is Lee.

He was a human being.

He suffered.

He misses his dog, Cornbread.

While even after brain surgery, bleeding wounds, and major broken bones,

Lee fought hard, he held on-

So weak, SO strong.

Yet the stories not over, more surgeries he’ll undergo.

The transplant of organs to strangers he’ll never, ever know.

Sometimes the stranger you encounter, might just be your Angel.

So on Sunday evening, they came for him, Strangers.

Teams of Doctor’s, Specialist & Staff, Equipment, Alarms and a Ventilator to tow.

All lined the hallways ready to go.

Many kind, caring strangers, walked into his life on those days.

But only one evil stranger drove away.

Dear Driver-

There is proof. We’re here to see that you don’t get away.

We held hands tight as family, and all closed their eyes,

For the Sunshine, the Rainbow just on the other side.

Behind the sterile closed doors, —

Two families just waiting for the hope, the healing only Lee could bestow and then

Ah, there it was the rainbow, the glow

A union of a better life they now get to know.

I listened so quietly but I swear I heard someone say,

”Welcome kind Stranger”

We now know your name,

”We’ve been praying for you”

And-

I know his name, he was a part of my life story.

He was a human being,

He suffered.

He has a name,

His name is Lee,

He has a dog,

His name is Cornbread

His best friend he played with everyday.
