Justice for Keiki and Her Kids - Ongoing Legal Battle

Hi there,

Some of you may know me as Lion Mane, I'm a music artist, as well as a fiancé and future stepdad to two amazing children by my partner, Keanna (most know her as Keiki).

Keiki is a fiercely loving mother to Orion and Aurora (9 and 7 years old), who mean the world to both of us. Right now, she’s in the middle of an exhausting and emotionally brutal custody and legal battle with her ex-husband, a man with a long history of emotional abuse, physical abuse, financial manipulation, and coercive control.

He’s retained an aggressive attorney and is using every tactic available to try to silence Keiki, drain her resources, and take custody, not out of love for the children, but as a continued act of power, control, and retaliation.

It took years just to finalize the original divorce. Now, nearly a year after the judgment was issued (where Keiki was awarded sole custody), they are back in court again. Despite ongoing safety concerns, dishonesty, and attempts to undermine her authority as sole custodian, he's attempting to pursue sole custody for himself, reduced parenting time for Keiki, and to try to keep her confined to the same city, where she's been living just a half-mile away from her abuser, something no survivor should have to endure.

Keiki has been representing herself in court because she simply cannot afford an attorney. But the stakes are too high now. After filing mandated reports with both DHS and CPS due to serious safety concerns, her ex immediately escalated with threatening legal correspondence, retaliatory filings, and an ongoing campaign of pressure through his attorney.

This is the kind of fight no one should have to face alone.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help Keiki secure legal representation, someone who can stand up to this kind of pressure, navigate the court system, and protect what matters most: her children’s safety, well-being, and right to peace.

The funds will help cover:

-A family law attorney’s retainer

-Court filing fees and legal document preparation

-Emergency motions or enforcement of custody protections

-Ongoing legal defense against retaliation

Keiki isn’t asking for anything extravagant, just the chance to be fairly represented, protect her rights, and give Orion and Aurora the safe, stable future they deserve.

This is the love of my life. In the time I’ve known her, I’ve watched her fight tirelessly as an advocate for her children, everything she does is for their safety and happiness. She’s exhausted. She’s overwhelmed. But she has not, and will not, give up. She’s stronger than she even realizes, and as much as I support her emotionally and practically, I’m not a lawyer, and she shouldn’t have to keep fighting this legal battle alone. Every child deserves a parent who can show up in court fully supported. Every survivor deserves to be heard.
