I'm Sarah, a mother whose son has been wronged by a system that turned a blind eye to his innocence. Kaleb is 19 years old and because he chose to defend himself hes looking at life in prison and it’s already been proven in COURT Once that what happened that day was CLEARLY “ SELF DEFENSE “ …
but my son still sets in jail .
My daughter trusted and paid Andrew Tarry (lawyer from Cape Girardeau) to represent my son .
He did absolutely nothing to help my son, refused to go over any of the evidence that was presented to him he completely ignored my son . Mr.Tarry came to see my son twice for 3 minutes and that was before court trying to get my son to take plea deals for the prosecutor. My son refused to take the deals being thrown at him because he is INNOCENT and since Mr.Tarry couldn’t get my son to help the prosecution he quit on December 14 2023 during court but claimed my son fired him. The judge gave my son 30 days to find another lawyer . It’s hard to believe this is all happening to one of my children My son has never been perfect he's been in trouble the kind of trouble millions of other teenage boys have gotten into while growing up .
Hes 19 years old , graduated early got his diploma . Kaleb started working two jobs had his own apartment and wanted to start college classes to pursue his career goal in engineering . Kalebs life had just started before this all happened and now they are wrongfully trying to take it all away . With no income and without my children’s father I’ve not been able to help my son in all the ways any good mother in my position would surely do to help their child . My daughter who is 20 years old has two daughters of her own a mortgage bills etc and she has been and still is doing all she can to help her brother get out , it hurts me bc here I am supposed to be The Mother and I can’t even help out financially or at all ive been completely worthless in this situation with no income and not one person in my family has even reached out or cared ..
leaving my daughter to do this alone the only help she’s had is from the parents of Tanner Watkins the other person who had been facing the same charges as my son but was able to afford a Lawyer who listened believed who collected all evidence possible and spent his time working for his client because his client was INNOCENT he was a damn good lawyer who couldn’t be bought out by Scott county and tanners charges were “ACQUITTED” . My son shouldn’t be setting in jail it’s been close to a year now he should be home with his family .
The pain is suffocating, and I feel like I'm losing him with each passing moment and I’ve got no one or nowhere to turn for help.
In this abyss of despair, I launch an urgent plea through the
"Justice for Kaleb: Unraveling the Truth Fund" fundraiser. It's not just a call for help; it's a scream from a mother who can no longer bear the weight of seeing her innocent son suffer.
The funds we desperately need will be the only means we have to afford legal representation . Every dollar is a plea for justice in a world that seems to have forsaken us.
Your support is not merely a contribution; it's a lifeline, a chance to rescue kaleb from a nightmare that threatens to consume him entirely.
With a heart shattered, and a voice echoing in desperation,
Sarah
“The evidence presented over the course of the week-long trial established that Tanner Watkins along with
( Kaleb Ramsey ) came to Rotary Park that day for a fist-fight. Instead, what Tanner and his passenger (Kaleb Ramsey ) and Tyler drove into was an ambush. As Tanner entered the park, Tyler was in a separate vehicle driving behind him. Both vehicles were fired upon by Levi Morgan and K.M.. Levi Morgan was firing two separate weapons, an AR-15 style .300 blackout ARP and a .40 caliber Glock with a 30 round magazine. K.M. was firing a 9mm Walther handgun. Early in the course of the ambush, Tyler’s car was immobilized after being struck by a .40 caliber bullet fired by Levi Morgan. Tyler and his passenger were 100% unarmed and gunshot residue tests confirmed neither had fired a weapon that day. Tanner’s brother and his passenger were sitting ducks in the middle of the open park as the Morgan brothers continued to rain down dozens of bullets on their immobilized car. As Tanner was leaving the park after having been shot at by the Morgan brothers, he realized that his brother’s car was not moving and was still being shot at by the Morgan brothers. It was only at this point that Tanner stopped his vehicle, he and his passenger Kaleb Ramsey stood in the open park drawing the fire off tanners brother’s car and onto themselves Watkins and Ramsey returned fire and they used the SAME gun ONE gun (A gun that was always in the Watkins vehicle) to save tanners brother’s life and the life of his brother’s passenger. The actions of Tanner Watkins along with his passenger (Kaleb Ramsey ) were merely to save tanners brother’s life as well as their own. Their actions were selfless and heroic, not criminal”
“In addition, the evidence presented at trial failed to prove that Tanner actually shot either of the victims,” Oliver said. “It appeared from the evidence presented at trial that the victims were in fact inadvertently shot by the Morgan brothers as they wildly sprayed the park with bullets.”
“This case and the actions of Tanner Watkins that day was a clear lawful use of self-defense and defense of another,” he continued. “Anyone put in Tanner’s unfortunate position would have done whatever was necessary to save the life of his brother and his friend.”
The other defendant in the case, Kaleb Ramsey, is scheduled to be in court on Thursday, Dec. 14.
Ramsey was also charged with all of the exact same charges that tanner watkins had been facing first-degree murder, armed criminal action, three counts of first-degree assault and four counts of unlawful use of a weapon. Ramseys actions were nothing more and nothing less than the actions of Mr. Watkins that day .
